11th International university prize for a student travel journal

The University of Clermont Auvergne and the ‘Il Faut Aller Voir’ Association, organisers of the Rendez-vous International du Carnet de Voyage de Clermont-Ferrand, are launching a call for entries for the 11th International Student Travel Notebook Award.
- Who can participate?

The contest is open to all people registered in a higher education establishment in France or abroad, regardless of their nationality and without age limit, excluding registration as an « auditor ».
- What kind of travel journal can be submitted?

The Travel journal must transcribe an experience from a trip, a journey or the discovery of a culture, combining text and images in the form of illustrations (all techniques are possible: watercolour, gouache, pencil, etc.) giving free rein to the sense of observation and the creativity of its author.
Photo collages are also allowed, but must be kept to a minimum compared with other visual media.
Please note that placement reports will not be considered by the jury.
It can result from a personal trip, an exchange abroad as part of a course, a study trip or even a trip to the field. Journal produced by tandems or groups of students, for example combining the views of French and international students, are also accepted.
The travel diary must be produced on original media, in the language(s) chosen by the author.
Examples of student travel journal - Prize in the amount of €500!

The winner of the Student Travel Diary Prize will receive a prize of €500 and will be invited to the prize-giving ceremony at the next 'Rendez-vous International du Carnet de Voyage' on 14 November 2025.
A ‘Coup de Coeur’ prize may be awarded by the University's International Relations and Francophonie Department. The prize is €300. - How to participate?

The participant subsequently undertakes to send the original of their journal, accompanied by a photocopy of their student card, to the following address:

FRANCEA participant can send several journals. A travel journal already offered in a previous edition of this competition cannot be offered again.
